These are similar to mask layers, except that the hidden paint can be shown again. It is also possible to create Invisibility Mask layers in the bottom section of the window. This allows you to associate one or more mask layers with any image layer, and re-use the same mask layers for different image layers. Image layers and Mask layers are displayed separately inside a split window. The editor shows the different types of layers on the current canvas. Drag the mouse over an icon to see a “tool tip” describing its purpose. Only the layers on the currently active canvas are displayed.
